Start here: what belongs in Screen Printing

Welcome to the Screen Printing board — the busiest room in the shop and, honestly, the one with the most hard-won tricks. If it touches mesh, emulsion, ink, or the press, it belongs here.

A few things worth reading before you post your first thread:

• Mesh count is the first lever, not the last. Higher mesh lays down a thinner deposit (fine detail, halftones); lower mesh lays down more ink (bold spot colors, underbases). Most "my print looks muddy" problems trace back to the wrong mesh.
• Cure is a temperature, not a timer. A plastisol print is cured when the whole ink film hits its cure temp — belt speed and dryer length just get it there. When in doubt, check with a temp gun or a donut probe, not the clock.
• Underbase decides everything on darks. A flashed white underbase is what makes colors pop on a black tee. Thin, smooth, fully flashed.

How to ask a good question here: tell us the garment (brand + blend), the mesh, the ink, and what you're seeing vs. what you want. And post a photo — a close-up of the misprint tells us more than three paragraphs. The composer lets you attach one right on the thread, and it makes triage ten times faster.
